JPW Parents and Players,
We are 22 players strong with 5 coaches from 9 different towns. I have met all of you but by way of introduction I am also the founder/president of North Shore Youth Football. I am 100% dedicated to head coaching our boys on this JPW team to have the most successful, fun, safe, and rewarding experience as possible.
I had 3 sons go through our program. They play or played in High School and there is no doubt that football had a positive and profound effect on them. We have a wonderful coaching staff. Herndon will be coaching the linemen, Pemberton defensive coordinator, I will be the offensive coordinator… You will find that we take our jobs as coaches seriously and will communicate with you along the way.
I have been coaching for many years and can say that we are starting with a very talented team. My goals and expectations are high and the kid's are too. By the end of the season we will have many different schemes and plays, but it is a progression so bear with us as we take it one step at a time.
I am a big believer in positive coaching and keeping it simple. The kids have fun and no anxiety that the coach is going to yell at or punish them... While on the field they are not confused or worried and having to think too much as it is simple and they have practiced it a million times and exude confidence.

All I ask is that you help us to help the kids to grow and become better people. And hopefully win a bunch of games along the way. We need volunteers to help with team parties, film our games opponents. We also will need volunteers for concessions at games. Lots of ways you can help. We will get some great team chemistry.
The players will do 50 push ups and 50 sit ups each day to build strength and confidence. Let me know anytime a player will miss. Make a big effort to be dedicated to the team for this short season. We will have weekly character lessons that we email home to supplement what they learn from you along with weekly awards. The award winner takes home Mr. Armadillo for the week. We will demand the boys respect their teammates, coaches, parents, and teachers as well as maintain good grades, eat right and get good sleep. Who said we had to be politically correct?
We communicate alot through email so we can spend 100% of our time efficiently with our precious practice and game time. Look forward to a great season ahead and seeing you on the field.
